Our country has voted for change and elected a new leader.  Come January 20th, President-elect Obama will have to do something about education, from pre-K to higher education, but what? What should he do? What can he do?

Since September, we’ve been posing that question to educators, students, parents and policy makers. So far we’ve recorded the advice of Margaret Spellings, Arne Duncan, Jonathan Kozol, Deborah Meier, John Wilson and dozens of others. When Colorado Senator Ken Salazar was appointed Secretary of Interior for the Obama Administration, Governor Bill Ritter chose Denver schools superintendent Michael Bennet to fill the vacancy.
