The first two years of CC should be free and then students should be allowed to transfer to a 4 year institution, with that credit. This would avoid any kind of tracking system that could ultimately create negative effects over positive ones. Either way, students across this country are being drowned in life debt to even go to CC– it makes sense to lift the unnecessary burden that these college students are facing. Ultimately, all public universities and colleges should be free.
