Financial aid for college
I feel that everyone should be able to go to college even if they cant really afford it. For example more money for grants and more money for scholorships. I also feel that the process to try and get money for college (FAFSA) is a long and difficult process for many people.

Providing a daycare for young teens
My name is Abby. I’m a high school teenage mother who goes to school leaving my daughter in the mornings with mother. I want to suggest to provide daycare centers for all high schools and college. This would prevent mothers running late for her mornings classes that start early. This would be a great because my daugher seeing me at my free breaks would make her feel that I’m there for her at all times and not just abonding her at home without knowing at what time I’m going to get home. More financial aid
My advice to president Obama is concerning the current state of the economy. Many students are not qualified to receive financial help from the government because their parents make too much money. This should not hinder anyone from getting money for college and I think it needs to be corrected.

college costs
My name is milina bryan, im 18 years old and I am one of the first graduating seniors at validus preparatory academy in the bronx. My educational advice to Obama is to lower the costs of college tuition costs, and I say this because here in New York, we have a lot of low income families that can’t afford to pay for college, and many of us end up going to a community college. we don’t want that, we all want to be able to go out and enjoy our college experiences. i had recently got accepted to Indiana Tech and i have also received $40,000 worth of scholarships. School uniforms
My name is Erika Vargas and I’m a student at Validus Preparatory Academy in the Bronx and i do believe that uniform policy should be more seriously taken by the board of educaion and the school. i believe uniforms are a way of safety for us the students and also the schools. we are a full uniform school and i don’t find it to be that bad. i don’t have to rush in the morning to look for something to wear and be late for my first class.

less testing
my educational advice for Obama would be to help change the testing system or format in New York. I stongly disagree with standardized testing because I feel that one test can not determine how smart someone is. In my opinion i feel that test like SATS are made for students to fail! during the test students are under so much pressure they cant barely focus, this is something that happened to me and i dont think i was able to preform on my best.

extracurriculars
Hello, i am a NYC student attending the Bronx High School of Science. One of the problems i encountered in my four years of high school was the difficulty of getting involved in my community. I think we should create more volunteer opportunities for youth in a more organized way. Furthermore i think there should be more internship and employment opportunities.

No More SAT
I think that the SAT takes up WAY too much teaching time, and is not an accurate judge of skill. I mean, you can study for it… doesn’t that make it a bad test? It doesn’t test how well you know what you know. It just tests your ability to learn SAT materials. Very few people remember the material covered on the SATs even a few months after, and you spend months in test prep. That time could be much better spent, I think.
