School uniforms

My name is Erika Vargas and I’m a student at Validus Preparatory Academy in the Bronx and i do believe that uniform policy should be more seriously taken by the board of educaion and the school. i believe uniforms are a way of safety for us the students and also the schools. we are a full uniform school and i don’t find it to be that bad. i don’t have to rush in the morning to look for something to wear and be late for my first class.

A uniform can be ok as long as girls are allowed to wear pants that follow the uniform code such as navy, khaki or black pants whatever the uniform color is. Also, solid color polo shirt or t-shirts should be allowed and sweaters. I think you have to be comfortable.
So far, I never had to wear a uniform and am happy about it. I usually wear jeans (just regular jeans,no holes or anything like that) and a sweater. I grew up in Europe and uniforms are pretty much gone except England and in some places for elementary schools only.
Thanks.

sometimes uniform could be a great thing and it looks neat and proper as every one is wearing the same outfit. But for person who has been wearing the same uniform for quite a time, you some times would feel bored with the uniform. That’s the situation of mine.

Uniforms are a waste of time and money. My parents went clothes shopping during the summer (I shop mostly at American Eagle, Hollister, and Aeropostale) and now (2 weeks into school) they want to put us in uniforms. Tell me that is not a waste of money and I will punch you in the face! ha ha

I really dont thing uniforms are need. They make us lose out uniqueness. We cant be different. At my school whenever we have “Out of Uniform Day” it’s a dollar. What a whoop!
